{"id":1879,"date":"2024-03-26T08:55:34","date_gmt":"2024-03-26T14:55:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.century21yk.ca\/blog\/?p=1879"},"modified":"2024-03-26T09:12:53","modified_gmt":"2024-03-26T15:12:53","slug":"kam-lake-expansion-in-the-works","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.century21yk.ca\/blog\/2024\/03\/kam-lake-expansion-in-the-works\/","title":{"rendered":"Kam Lake Expansion in the Works"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"xdj266r x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs x126k92a\">\n<p dir=\"auto\">Some good news for the Yellowknife small business community yesterday at City Hall.\u00a0 City Council was presented with a plan for bringing new land to market in Kam Lake.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">Some key points:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"auto\">\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>This will not be a quick process, prospective purchasers should not expect to see land on the market this calendar year;<\/li>\n<li>It is not yet known what the potential commercial uses for the land will be, although it seems to me like the leading candidates are more light industrial (like the rest of Kam Lake) and potentially agriculture;<\/li>\n<li>Public consultation will get underway this spring and will be led by a consultant;<\/li>\n<li>Not all of the area identified in the attached map will be developed.
