If anyone you know has ever considered a career in real estate, please share Curtis&#8217; article with them.<\/p>\n<p>I won&#8217;t poach the entire article here, but I will list the author&#8217;s top ten reasons and I encourage anyone interested to follow one of my <a href=\"https:\/\/amycurtisblog.wpcomstaging.com\/2013\/04\/05\/top-10-reasons-i-love-my-job\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">links<\/a> and explore further.<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0<strong>People and their stories<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0<strong>Each day it\u2019s something new<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0<strong>You never stop learning<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0<strong>Real Estate Agents are a hoot\u2026and I get to hang out with them everyday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0<strong>A chance to do good<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>6.\u00a0<strong>You can let your freedom flag fly<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>7.\u00a0<strong>You get to solve mysteries<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>8. <strong>Outlet for Creativity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>9.\u00a0<strong>You won\u2019t get fired or laid off<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>10.\u00a0<strong>I do love houses<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Of course, every Realtor would come up with a slightly different &#8220;top ten.&#8221; Personally I would place #6 (&#8220;let your freedom flag fly&#8221;) much higher on <a href=\"https:\/\/amycurtisblog.wpcomstaging.com\/2013\/04\/05\/top-10-reasons-i-love-my-job\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the list<\/a>. As someone who is drawn to the entrepreneurial side of the small business world, the ability to build and shape my own business is a significant source of fulfillment.\u00a0 And once you&#8217;ve experienced it, it&#8217;s hard to give up.<\/p>\n<p>There are a couple of other aspects of this &#8220;freedom&#8221; that are worth mentioning.<\/p>\n<p>1. Real estate sales is a true meritocracy &#8211; you get out of it what you put in and you don&#8217;t need to rely on anyone else for advancement and success.<\/p>\n<p>And 2., although you have a lot of responsibilities, you have the full authority to carry them out. There are no gatekeepers or layers of authority standing between you and a job well done.
